In November 2014, President Obama announced the Immigration Accountability Executive Action providing new avenues for undocumented immigrants to become U.S. citizens.  The largest addition is the creation of a new deferred action program, Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA). 

Your union invites members and their families to join us at Teamsters 117 Union Hall on January 24th at 12:30 P.M. for an immigration workshop to learn how the Executive Action will affect you and your family.  This event, sponsored by the Teamsters Latino Caucus in collaboration with Colectiva Legal del Pueblo and NWDC Resistance, will present all the information you need to see if you are eligible to change your status under the President's Executive Action!  The workshop will cover:

• How the Executive Action affects you and your family
• Who is eligible
• What will the initiative do
• When can you begin to make a request
• How to make a request
• How the fight will continue!
