Support the family of slain Uber driver Mahamadou Kabba

On January 12th, Mahamadou Kabba, father of 5, was shot while driving in Renton, Washington. This week, he passed away in the hospital, leaving a loving family that stretches across three continents behind. We ask that you support his family in this difficult time through their GoFundMe page.

Mahamadou was a kind, caring, and hardworking family man who would always go the extra mile to help others. His favorite way to spend his free time was at home with family, including his five children, Mahamadou, Maramya, Aisha, Idrees, Mohamad, and Selma. When he wasn’t at home or working, he could usually be found at the mosque, taking Arabic or Islamic Studies courses.

Please support Mahamadou's family through their GoFundMe page.

Mahamadou was a leader in our movement, standing arm in arm with his brothers to protest for justice for all workers and testifying before the Seattle City Council as we fought for fair treatment of all drivers. He will be missed by all his brothers and sisters in the driver community and here at Drivers Union.

Words are unable to express the kind of feeling that one wishes to share at a time like this. When loss is immeasurable, no human language can hope to confront it.

Limited details about Mahamadou’s shooting are available at this time, but an investigation is ongoing. We are now asking for your help; we need support in funding Mahamadou’s medical and funeral costs and supporting the family in this challenging time. Please give what you’re able and keep Mahamadou and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
